Customer relationship management (CRM)

Customer Relationship Management tools give your sales team superpowers. All historical information about a customer relationship is in one place, so everyone is on the same page and able to give each customer the individual attention they deserve. CRM tools help you target different audiences, design automation steps based on customer information or activity, and stay coordinated across groups. Our favorites include Hubspot, Apptivo, Salesforce. Click here for more guidance and additional offerings.

Email marketing

Email remains one of the most critical channels for communicating with existing and prospective customers. However, the days of individually typing emails, or settling for generic emails to send to your full list are long gone. Email marketing tools help you intelligently build relationships with your audience and encourage specific customer behaviors based on what you know about them. Optimizing your email campaigns is some of the lowest hanging marketing fruit around. Our favorites include Mailchimp, GetResponse, Autopilot. Click here for more guidance and additional offerings.

Help Desk

Help Desk software can dramatically improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of dealing with customer service inquiries. The old days of just relying on FIFO (first in, first out) for working through tickets are behind us. Now, Help Desk software helps you organize, manage and respond to service-related requests, both from external customers, and your internal teams. The most important issues can be tackled with urgency, and tickets can be routed to subject matter experts, reducing hand-offs and headaches. Our favorites include ZenDesk, FreshDesk, Zoho Desk. Project Management software gets everyone on the same page with useful tools for planning, executing, and reporting out on work. Planning and scheduling, task delegation, integration of team members, collaboration, file access and sharing, productivity, and budget management are some of the key benefits of using Project Management software. For many business owners, there is a vision of the “beach” in their future. Depending on the state of your business and your aspirations for financial returns, now may be a good time to explore exit opportunities. FAQs

Do I have to be a college athlete to be an NBS ambassador?

No! Anyone 18 years or older who wants to monetize their personal following can join NBS as an ambassador.

What does it mean to be an affiliate?

An affiliate helps generate demand for a given brand’s products or services. In exchange for providing marketing services, the affiliate earns a commission, typically in the form of a flat fee per conversion (purchase) or a percent of the purchase price.

Is becoming an NBS ambassador better than striking deals directly with businesses to provide social media marketing?

It’s not necessarily better, but it is a different and incremental opportunity. Typically, social media posts are paid based on impressions (e.g., views) or engagement (e.g., likes). Since these customer actions are further away from an actual purchase, the compensation rate will be lower. That doesn’t mean you will earn less money for a traditional posting campaign since there will be fewer purchases than impressions. The conversion rate and the relative compensation rates will ultimately determine which path is more lucrative. Generally, the greater influence you have on your followers, the greater potential for commission-based earnings. Brands are ultimately aiming to increase sales, and their willingness to pay increases the closer you can get a potential customer to a purchase.

Why do I need NBS? Can I just become an affiliate myself?

Yes, of course you can become an affiliate yourself. Head over to our affiliate program information page if you would like some direction.

NBS is here to make it easy for you to profit from your following. We have done the legwork to set up affiliate relationships and we provide useful resources and content to help our visitors become confident in their purchase decision.

What do NBS ambassadors do?

NBS ambassadors help get the word out about this site. This can be done via social media posts, or more actively reaching out to individuals in your network. Since your earnings are linked to purchases made by individuals you refer to the site, there is no minimum or maximum amount of activity required.

Will I need to sign an NIL agreement?

Yes. Our top priority is keeping you in compliance with NCAA, state, and school regulations. We have a standard NIL agreement that we can forward directly to your school and any other relevant compliance groups. Once that is in place, we can generate a unique tracking link for you and set up a dedicated page for you to feature your favorite offerings.

How much will I earn?

Each brand’s affiliate program is different in terms of the commission rate they offer. Generally, NBS ambassadors will be paid ~80% of the commissions their traffic generates. For example, if a referred customer purchases a $1000 product and the brand offers 30% commission, the responsible ambassador will receive $1000 x 30% x 80% = $240, less transaction fees. For services sold directly by NBS (e.g., consulting, brokerage or white label offerings), responsible ambassadors will earn 20% of the purchase price.
